Making Economic Stimulus Packages Work for Women is part of a series of events UNIFEM co-sponsored during the UN Conference on the World Financial and Economic Crisis and Its Impact on Development on 24–26 June 2009.

The panel discussion explored whether economic stimulus packages allocate resources for women’s issues and move beyond one-time subsidies to gender-equitable job creation, social services provisioning and social protection within a rights-based framework.
