In cooperation with the Open Society Institute in Budapest, UNIFEM CEE is going to organize a two-day workshop for about 30 women advocates in civil society organizations from South East Europe and CIS aimed at developing/expanding their capacity to make use of CEDAW and CEDAW related documents to advocate for women's rights in area specific to their work. The first sessions will give a general overview of CEDAW and related mechanisms and showcase success stories achieved across the region in using CEDAW to ensure gender justice and equal opportunities. The second part of the event will concentrate on exploring the ways in which CEDAW and related tools can be used to effectively address gender issues.
