UNIFEM is co-hosting the photo exhibition Women Count in Kabul, Afghanistan, for two weeks starting on 31 October.

Women Count, a project funded by UNIFEM and GTZ Gender Mainstreaming, documents women’s challenges and achievements in the run-up to the country's presidential and provincial council elections on 20 August 2009. The exhibition, which is being held on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, will feature photographs taken by local Afghan photographers across the country.
