A User’s Guide to Measuring Gender-Sensitive Basic Service Delivery (2009). This guide is intended to contribute to the development and more effective use of gender-sensitive indicators so that services are delivered more efficiently and effectively to women. It should be seen as a generic and basic tool to map and anlyse governance of basic service delivery from a gender perspective. It includes indicators and measurement tools and presents examples of newly developed and innovative measurement initiatives in women’s access to public services.

Each issue sheds light on the efforts of specific actors in relation to GRB, demonstrates the application of GRB in a particular area, and highlights a specific country or regional programme supported by UNIFEM or other agencies.

Mapping Aid Effectiveness and Gender Equality: Global Findings and Key Messages (2008). This report provides an overview of the issues and trends that emerged from mapping studies on aid effectiveness, gender equality and women's empowerment in 12 countries. It examines to what extent national gender equality priorities are reflected in national development strategies, donor country strategies and mechanisms for implementing the Paris Declaration on Aid Effectiveness at country level. It also analyses the implementation of UN Security Council resolution 1325 on women, peace and security.

Financing Gender Equality Key to Sustainable Development Results (2008). This UNIFEM statement emphasizes that sustainable development results can be attained if approached beyond the conventional development paradigm, and that financing for gender equality and women’s empowerment are essential to fostering a vibrant economy. In order to embrace a more equitable and sustainable development, it argues women need to be looked at beyond their roles as caregivers and labourers, and economic policies need to move beyond narrow definitions of income growth.
