A User’s Guide to Measuring Gender-Sensitive Basic Service Delivery (2009). This guide is intended to contribute to the development and more effective use of gender-sensitive indicators so that services are delivered more efficiently and effectively to women. It should be seen as a generic and basic tool to map and anlyse governance of basic service delivery from a gender perspective. It includes indicators and measurement tools and presents examples of newly developed and innovative measurement initiatives in women’s access to public services.

Making Democracy Work for Women: The UNDEF-UNIFEM Partnership (2009). Since 2006, The UN Democracy Fund (UNDEF) has provided grants to strengthen democratic governance in more than a hundred countries. In line with UNDEF’s call to broaden democratic participation, UNIFEM works with approximately 10 percent of the Fund’s projects to address the multiple facets of women’s political participation. This brochure provides an overview of the UNDEF–UNIFEM partnership, outlines who qualifies for grants and lists activities in a number of countries where UNDEF grants are in affect and have made a significant impact on women.
