This half day event will directly follow the UN European Economic and Social Commission's Beijing + 15 preparatory meetings in Geneva. CEDAW experts, national decision-makers, migrants' advocates, CEDAW experts and development partners including human rights specialists will participate in a roundtable discussion on the current challenges and opportunities for migrant women in the region in the context of the financial crisis. The speakers will respond to questions from the audience present at the event and those participating via videoconferencing. Participants of the Beijing + 15 meeting will attend, along with development partners, including women's rights activists from the CEE/ CIS regions.
