Stand Up 2008 Has Concluded

Thank you for your interest in participating in the 2008 Stand Up and Take Action against Poverty and Inequality campaign. The 72-hour sign-up period — from 17 October (World Poverty Day) through 19 October 2008 — has now concluded.

We are grateful to the 1027 persons who “stood up” online through this website in a show of solidarity with women affected by and fighting against world poverty, and to call on world leaders to empower the women that power the global economy.
